This is a glass block wall which will arrive at the jobsite as pre-glazed panels, typically 4 ft. wide by 5 or 6 ft. high (panel sizes can vary) |

The panels are framed with aluminum extrusions which include thermally broken 1" wide perimeter bands. Therefore, each panel can be glazed into a conventional curtainwall, just as if it was a piece of 1" insulated glass.

The panel system is very strong, owing (once again) to threaded steel rods running within the aluminum extrusions. The exposed joints for this system are sealed with silicone caulking. These joints can vary in size from 1/2" down to 1/8". This system requires hoisting by crane or forklift but has the advantage of speedy erection. |
